Genesis Chapter 1

I love my church Sunday school class! We pick a book of the Bible, read a few verses, the discuss them like we're truckers in a coffee shop! We gather everyones opinion on the subject, questions & fears, then take it all in, research it that following week & comeback together to agree that even though we think of it differently we all agree that it's the written Word and that settles it. A person can read a lot into a verse and I learn from different points of view. I see new ways of looking at things and relize that none of that matters! I know it sounds crazy but follow me on this. I will post questionable verses, give my opinion and the opinion of the others in my class, then I want you to come up with your own feelings. The answers are a general concensus of the class,I'm not saying they're right!Where do you feel lead to go with this? How does the Lord speak to you about this? Let me know in a comment and invite your friends to join in on the fun! Let's begin.... Genesis Chapter 1 vs.1 God created the heaven and the earth... Q:There is no mention of the other planets. A:Other planets are basicaly stars right?...We'll they are the heavens (notice it's plural,as in more than one) vs.14 Lights in the firmament... vs.17 Set stars in firmament... Q:Heaven or firmament? What's the difference between the two? (this heaven is singular,as in only one) Why the difference in plural and singular heaven? Do any of these labels contain the streets of gold we are told about? Where is that heaven? A:I don't have and answer to this one. vs.20 created animals (creatures)... Q:Insert the dinosaurs question. Were they included in this? A:I don't have an answer to this one. vs.26 Let us make them in our own image... Q:Who is us & our? A:Angels vs.27 Male & female created He them... Q:Is this Adam & Eve because we haven't gotten to them yet? A:I don't have an answer to this one. Please leave you comments so we can all grow in Christ. Don't forget what I was once told by a wise ole brother..."Don't let the little things stop you from seeing the big picture!" The devil uses the Bible against us when he can and clouding our judgement and questioning things of Christ is number one on his list. Don't let him use the Word of God to disinterest you. If something is important...it will be in black and white!!! God is not a confusing God, when it's of the utmost importance he will reveal it to us in the time He chooses and not a second before! 1awesomelife...Moses.
